CPS vs CPM: What’s the Difference?
CPS (Clicks Per Second)
CPS = total clicks ÷ seconds. CPS is the most common metric for click speed.
CPM (Clicks Per Minute)
CPM = CPS × 60. CPM is just a scaled version of CPS.
If you see 10 CPS, that is 600 CPM.
What Is a “Good” Click Speed?
It depends on your mouse, technique, and how long the test lasts. As a rough guide for normal clicking (no macros):
- 4–6 CPS: casual / typical
- 6–8 CPS: above average
- 8–10 CPS: very fast for most people
- 10+ CPS: elite for many users (or special techniques)
Use the test mainly to compare results on the same device and setup.
10s vs 30s vs 60s: Which Timer Is More Accurate?
10 seconds (best default)

- More “burst speed” focused
30 seconds (more stable)
- Smooths out randomness
- Better for comparing stamina and consistency
60 seconds (consistency test)
- Helps identify fatigue or uneven clicking
- Useful if your 10s score swings a lot

How to Get a Cleaner Result (and Avoid Fake Scores)
Our click speed test filters ultra-fast duplicate inputs (noise). For a consistent score:
- Use a stable surface and keep your wrist comfortable.
- Don’t drag the mouse while clicking.
- Use 30s mode if your 10s score varies a lot.
- If you use a macro, your score may look abnormal (and won’t reflect real skill).
Summary
If you want a quick benchmark, 10 seconds is the best default. If you want stability, use 30 seconds. Either way, CPS and CPM are the same measurement expressed differently.
